Community Offering: Nettle and Being Seen

In this community offering, we explore the themes of nettle and being seen. Nettle represents many dualities within itself. One of those dualities is how its stinging exterior asks you to pay attention while the plant itself provides so much nourishment for the body especially as it is a helpful plant in replenishing ourselves from the winter time to have more energy and vitality for the rest of the year.

Over this past winter, I've been working a lot with nettle through various herbal preparations, baths, learning about it's folklore and what it has been teaching me as I've been sitting in meditation with it. One of its many lessons from this past winter is paying attention to what we may need to see in ourselves that we're overlooking. Sometimes the act of seeing ourselves can sting if there are aspects of ourselves that we've been ignoring while at the same time, in witnessing ourselves to be seen, it can provide deep nourishment for our spirits to honor all of who we are.

This meditation centers around the above themes and know that you can use this as a continual practice to come back to in developing a relationship with nettle and yourself. We hope you enjoy this community offering and feel free to let us know in the comments below what came up for you as we are curious to know. This meditation comes with closed captioning.
