Low spoon meals are meals that are made with as little energy as possible while still being fills. The term is relating to a term within the chronically ill/disabled community to express one's energy levels.
In this series, I'll be sharing low spoon meals and snacks that you can do that have helped me when I've had very low energy in navigating Fibromyalgia. When I was first diagnosed nine years ago, I never heard of low spoon meals and had to slowly find my own ways of preparing and making food that were fast and easy for me while also not exacerbating my symptoms.
This berry compote is a meal or snack that I've had that has always been satisfying, yummy and most importantly easy to make when my inflammation levels were high and I was exhausted. I hope you find it helpful in making this simple and supportive dish. In each recipe, I'll also include ways that you can modify as well as how it can be supportive for the body.
If you try it, I would love to know your thoughts and feedback of how it went.
Many wishes and to yummy and easy to make food,
Carolyn
