October Newsletter 201

Welcome to our newsletter series. In our September newsletter we will be sharing about our offerings for the month at Acknowledge Wellness and introduce you to our monthly spotlight series.

Each month, Acknowledge Wellness hosts a monthly spotlight series which is a collaboration with another practitioner, community organizer or organization to share what others are doing locally, nationally and internationally.

20% of herbal product sales go to supporting our monthly spotlight series. Funds either go directly back to the monthly spotlight or to a cause that they deeply connect to. Why we do the monthly spotlight series is to also have us understand that our personal wellness is also connected to collective well being of others. When you purchase our herbal products, you're also supporting the farmers that grow the herbs, the monthly spotlights, your health and the sustainability of our business.

Our October monthly spotlight is Dr. Otrude Nontobeko Moyo (she.her). Dr. Moyo is my former social work professor while I was studying at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and has made a continual impact on me throughout the time we have known each other. This month, 20% of our product sales will be going back to Ubuntu Arts and Dialogues which is a project that Dr. Moyo launched. This month, we will also be doing a book series about her newest published book called Africanity and Ubuntu as a Decolonizing Discourse. You can read more in detail below about this month's offerings and collaboration.
